Ship systems performance and related human interaction can be analyzed with the Simsmart Technologies TPTS following design analysis with the Engineering Suite. The TPTS re-uses the Engineering Suite virtual systems models as its foundation. The TPTS permits analysis through scripted stimulation to assess whether or not a given ship system fulfills established design goals. It will confirm by means of examination and provision of objective evidence that the specific intended use of a ship system design along with related personnel is accomplished in an intended usage environment. Under given operating scenarios and conditions, all process systems elements will be tested and analyzed for adequate sizing and response for flow direction and value, pressures and pressure drops, velocities, thermodynamics, power loading and faults, etc…

Once ship systems have been adequately sized and where operating & damage control procedures are developed, further detailed analysis are performed by stimulating the process using the TPTS Lesson Plan Management System (LPMS) by scripting scenarios for equipment operation, availability, failures and casualties. The analysis includes:

ü Readiness

ü Survivability

ü Manning
(by scripting emulated human intervention on the process or by actions on machinery control systems)

In the form of a stimulation exercise report, the TPTS provides complete objective documented evidence on the executed scenarios stimulating the process.

The ship systems models can be stimulated from an exercise plan where the TPTS will monitor systems response, therefore providing a powerful cause & effect analysis tool for systems behavior, reconfiguration capabilities and readiness;

Since the TPTS enables the emulation of crew actions both at control system consoles and also for manual actions on the ship systems, ship system models coupled to an exercise plan as a stimulator can be used for survivability analyses and also for manning analyses;
